Erdogan – Putin’s telephone communication: “The safety of ships in the Black Sea can contribute to peace”

The President of Turkey had today, Friday (28.03.25), the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putinas the Turkish Presidency announced in its announcement.

The Turkish news agency Anadolu reported that Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Vladimir Putin had scheduled telephone communication, during which bilateral relationships were discussed between Turkey and Russia, as well as regional and global issues.

During their communication they discussed both the war in Ukraine and Syria, with the Turkish president telling his Russian counterpart that the steps for the Achieving safe navigation in the Black Sea will contribute to peace efforts with Ukraine and added that the Ankara is ready to contribute to these efforts.

Also in its announcement, the Turkish Presidency said Erdogan told Putin that the Turkey is closely monitoring the peace efforts between Ukraine and Russia and reiterated the offer to host talks.

Conflicts continue in Ukraine despite the “bazaars”

Russia has accused Ukraine of targeting energy infrastructures on its territory yesterday, Thursday, and today, in violation of a fragile ceasefire aimed at banning the bumps of such goals.
