Following an in -depth investigation by the competent EOPYY services, they were sent to the Financial Police to investigate complete case files with indications systemic fraud of doctors and pharmacists at the expense of.
The Financial Police, following its own extensive investigation, resulted in the arrest of doctors, pharmacists and other criminal organization involved, as stated in the police press release dated 28/05/2025.
EOPYY took advantage of the combined controls carried out systematically by its competent prescription (ceiling) limits, guided execution, compliance with compensation restrictions, in particular drugs, medications, prescribing drugs, non -evidence,
In particular, EOPYY’s audit services identified the abusive prescription physician in the Megara-Aspropyrgos region on antipsychotic drugs and imposed a fee of 1.2m euros, a prescription cessation, while the Board of Directors of the Agency submitted a conservative and conservative measures. EOPYY’s services extended control by combining the executions of the prescriptions of the particular physician in a pharmacy in the area and imposed sanctions on the pharmacist. The Financial Police was immediately informed to carry out a parallel investigation by their own means.

EOPYY urges his insured persons
a)to activate the intangible prescription so that they can be automatically updated for release and referrals to their AMKA,
b)be informed through the Health Insurance Folder (FAF) on the EOPYY website of the executed prescriptions and medical operations and
c) to submit a “statement of opposition” to FAF in the case of illegal prescription.
