End of the shutdown in the USA: The Senate approved the agreement for the temporary shutdown, the next stage is the House

Late on Monday evening (10.11.2025) h Senate approved the extension of the continuing resolution (CR) to end the fiscal paralysis, the so-called shutdown in USA.

The agreement to end the shutdown in the US was reached thanks to the support of a handful of Democratic members of the Senate, sending it now to the House of Representatives, which will be called to vote on it within the week.

The bill passed by a 60-40 vote in the second straight vote, following a compromise between President Donald Trump’s GOP and some opposition senators, but one that angered many Democrats.

Earlier it was known that the senators, Republicans and some Democrats, closed a temporary agreement, which will guarantee the funding of the federal government until January.

“We’d say we’re nearing the end of the shutdown,” Republican President Donald Trump told reporters on his return to the White House after spending the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago, Florida, home.

The deal must be approved by both houses of the federal Congress and then signed by President Trump.
