THE Emmanuel Karalis “Dance” in the rain, in Diamond League of Lausanne! His leading Greek jumper in the midst of his first victory in this event, surpassing once again – 10th this year and 11th in his athletic career – 6 meters!
Emmanuel Karalis was not overwhelmed by the rain that made it difficult for his athletes to compete in the Swiss city square and managed to exceed 6.02 meters.
Second in the Diamond League in Lausanne was the Frenchman, a former world record holder Reno Lavileni with 5.82m while his compatriot was Timo Cole also with 5.82m. Monto Dupladis did not fight in this very rally.
The 26 -year -old Olympic champion was shown by the public, where there were several Greeks, holding the flags of our country.
Having achieved his first victory in a Diamond League event, Emmanuel Karalis crossed a Greek flag on the shoulder and made the triumphant round (the match was a city event and thus took place in the center of the city and not in the stadium).
The Greek athlete greeted those who supported his effort, taking off as many selfies as asked by his fans and signing autographs. Even the label he wore during the race gave one.
At the end of the race, the organizers implemented an informal awards on the aisle where the athletes ran for their efforts.
Karalis climbed the last one and took – as everyone else – a bouquet and a large piece of Swiss cheese as a souvenir!
