There is no documentation of a reference to the name of the Minister of Citizen Protection, Michalis Chrysochoid, in a case of trafficking in human beings who has reported 27 years since last August, nor is there any oligarchy in investigating the case, a statement said in a statement issued by the Greek Police.
“At any stage of the research so far, either in the preliminary procedure or in the preliminary examination, no reference to the name of the Minister of Citizen Protection. Any relevant allegation that is marketed in public discourse lacks any documentation in the official data of the case, “the ELAS statement said.
Concerning the history of the case, from competent police sources it became known to the RES, that in August 2024, a 27-year-old girl asked for help from a police officer on the street, complaining that she was a victim of a man who was named after a particular man and others.
The case was filed by the prosecution of people from the Organized Crime Management Directorate, which was forwarded to the competent prosecutor.
Finally, months later, last January, the prosecutor ordered a preliminary examination, demanding a psychiatric expertise of the girl, something that was still in a psychiatric clinic, as well as suggesting witnesses for her case and to be called upon by the man.
This Mandra has been searched and called for a deposit, but so far it has not appeared.
The reports state that the alleged perpetrator threatened the girl by saying that Minister Michalis Chrysochoidis was known to him, but something that was emphasized by the police that it did not appear from the investigation.

At any stage of the investigation so far, either in the preliminary procedure or in the preliminary examination, no reference to the name of the Minister of Citizen Protection. Any relevant allegation that is marked in public discourse lacks any documentation in the official data of the case file.
Furthermore, with regard to reports of oligarchy, it is noted that the competent department of the Hellenic Police, from the first moment of the case report, has immediately acted both at the service and procedural level, in accordance with the proceedings and time frameworks provided for by the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Directives of the Criminal Procedure.
The protection of victims is a absolute priority of the Greek Police, while any complaint that includes evidence of a crime is examined with due care and sensitivity, especially when it comes to issues as severe as human trafficking.
