Frustration and sadness expresses the Ecumenical Patriarchate for the court of court Egypt which challenges “for centuries they have owned the ownership regime of the historic Holy Monastery of Saint Catherine of Sinai” and limits the monks only to the right to use it.
In a written announcement, the Ecumenical Patriarchate appeals to the Government of Egypt to find a way to maintain the monastery’s ownership status and implement the recently reached agreement, recalling that this ownership regime “respected it”.
“The centuries have set the Sinai Monastery.
