Easter: How are banking and shops affected by holidays – when do banks reopen

Closed will remain for four consecutive days the banksbecause of the holidays of Easterand therefore no physical presence will be carried out.

According to a statement from the Hellenic Banking Union, bank holidays for the Easter period are Good Friday and Easter Monday. Consequently, Banks will be closed for Easter for 4 days, today Good Friday (18.4.2025), tomorrow Good Saturday (19.4.2025), Easter Sunday (20.4.2025) and Easter Monday (21.4.2025).

Banks will reopen Easter Tuesday (22.4.2025) with their normal hours.

Of course, e-banking, mobile banking and ATMs will operate normally throughout the holidays, without interruption. However, the credits may be delayed to appear.

It should be noted that the week after Easter, the banks will be closed due to May Day.
