Officers arrested 21 -year -old Isabella Daggett just five weeks after moving to Dubai from Yorkshire, Britain. The young man had traveled to the Emirates after receiving a job proposal. However, her family insists that she was arrested by police simply because she was “in the wrong place at the wrong time” and that she never used drugs.
The 21 -year -old Isabella, who also managed jointly with her mother a small lead agency in Leeds, had the opportunity to work in Dubai in early spring, but was in a police police operation.
He even worked for an entrepreneur who made online hires at construction sites in the United Kingdom, who offered to send her to the Middle East in a similar job. Indeed, the man she worked for telling her that she would love life in Dubai and that the lifestyle is wonderful.
But she was arrested by Dubai’s police – along with another young man – shortly after her foot stepped foot.
‘He is innocent’
Daggett’s family claims that he has done nothing wrong, has never used drugs and that he was probably dragged to move to Dubai.
Her grandmother, Heather Smith, told the Daily Mail: “Bella was locked up in prison because she was in the wrong company. Wrong place, wrong time. Wrong friend. He’s in prison since March, but we finally got a court date for next month. She was arrested along with a lad who was not her friend, with whom she stayed because things had broken with another home. “
And he added: “But they are innocent, because they did all the exams and there was nothing in her body.”
The 21 -year -old’s grandmother stressed that her family had warned Isabella of Dubai’s potential dangers and harsh prison legislation.
“We told Bella before traveling ‘you know the rules in Dubai, play according to the rules, don’t show this, don’t do it,'” Smith said.
The Dubai authorities have not yet revealed what accusations the 21 -year -old was arrested. Her mother, Lucinda Smith, posted a Gofundme page to help her daughter.
The fundraiser wrote: “My daughter Isabella is unjustly held in Dubai and we do everything we can to prove her innocence and bring her back home.
We have evidence that it is not involved in these categories and we are determined to fight for its freedom. The heinous conditions in which she lives are enough to crack every mother’s heart.
