In particular, incoming US President Donald Trump said today (12.12.2024) that “anything can happen” when asked about the possibility of war between the US and Iran during his next presidential term.

Trump has previously threatened Iran, with the US government alleging that the Revolutionary Guards attempted to assassinate him. Iran has denied this claim.
