His visit Donald Trump at stage Northwest in Maryland to watch the Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions game didn’t go as well as he would have liked.
Donald Trump may have expected a warm reception at the stadium, however was greeted with loud boos from the fans who were in the stands.
Video from WUSA 9 reporter Alexis Wainwright captures exactly what happened… Fans can be clearly seen booing him when he started to salute the crowd, and they got louder when he started reciting a military oath. The American president stopped several times.
It should be noted that the disapprovals came afterwards Trump demanded that the Commanders name their new stadium in Washington in his honor. According to an ESPN report, a White House source said “there have been behind-the-scenes communications with a member of the Commanders ownership group” to name the stadium in honor of the current president.

Trump’s visit was significant, as became the first sitting president since 1978 to attend a regular season game. Commerce Secretary Howard Latnick, House Speaker Mike Johnson and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles accompanied the president.
