A decrease of 16.8% recorded Greek exports to third countries, such as USA CA, in July 2025, according to ELSTAT data published today (5.9.2025).
Specifically, in July 2025, exports to third countries (including petroleum) fell to EUR 1.8 million, from EUR 2.17 million in 2024, down 16.8%.
In contrast, exports to the European Union (EU) were up, reaching € 2.54 million in July 2025, compared to EUR 2.52 million a year ago. This increase corresponds to 0.9%.
The decline to the US and other third countries did not dramatically affect the overall result, as Greek exports decreased by 7.3% in July 2025.
However, July 2025 seems to be the fifth consecutive month of retreat of freight transactions with the EU and third countries. The downward course began in March 2025, when exports decreased by 8.1% compared to the same month of 2024.
The trend continued in the following months: -14.3% in April, -0.9% in May, -8.2% in June and -7.3% in July 2025.
