The internationalization of the brand Pink Woman abroad is the next big bet for Intrafashion, with President and Managing Director Dimitris Matemtzis.
As he says in an interview with newsit.gr, which launches a new series of broadcasts with the polite support of SELPE and starring the people of retail, the beginning was already in April, with the inauguration of three stores in neighboring Italy.
“We have strategically selected our development with the priority of southern Italy, seeking to have 20 stores in this market until the end of 2025. We are trying to choose areas that, based on the research and analysis we have done, are in line with a level of preferences, consumer profiles and climate.”
Record year in 2024
2024 was a record year for the Greek company Fast Fashion. Intrafashion’s turnover reached 47m euros, with Mr Matemtzis estimating that the use will be completed with “single -digit development in immediate comparable organic results”.
Today, 115 Pink Woman stores are operating throughout Greece, whose number is estimated to be 120 by the end of the year. “It is the largest network of women’s clothing stores in the Greek market,” says Intrafashion CEO, who, despite the rise of e -commerce during the pandemic period, has chosen to strategically invest in the expansion of the Network of Natural Store.
As he explains, consumption also has psychological parameters, as it combines interaction with other people and “cannot be so soon replaced by a cold act of market through an online store.”
Aim to internationalize Pink Woman
Referring to his vision for Intrafashion, he stresses: “It would be very pleased if we are claiming to become an international resonance company and international range. If this is achieved, it will give opportunities for synergies, innovation and investment in human resources. ” As he says, “if a brand established in Greece manages to stand in a market as competitive as Italy, the possibility of expanding and internationalizing the signal is without restriction, as the crash test has successfully passed.”
The course of retailing and SELPE
Regarding the organized retail, Intrafashion President and CEO estimates that he will have further concentration. “There will be a strong concentration of older players, not only in size, but also know -how. Undoubtedly, it is very important that competitiveness is increasing not only in the Greek market by the entry of new foreign chains, but also by the growing investments of already existing successful multinational players, “he says.
Intrafashion, as a member of SELPE, draws significant benefits from the body represented by the modern Greek retail, as Mr Matemtzis notes. “It is a dynamic organization that supports a crucial part of the economy – the organized retailement – which until recently did not have any necessary attention,” he says.
