Dimitris Koutsoubas: “Capitalism around the world is the same – we call young people in the struggle for radical changes”

GG of the CC of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoubas He spoke Monday afternoon on the forum of “In.gr” entitled “Brain Retain & Regain” with journalists and students.

D. Koutsoubas referred to the enormous cost of study in Greece, noting that similar problems are also present abroad, both in terms of studies and working conditions and living conditions.

As he noted during the debate, “the brain drain phenomenon is not of course Greek. It is the modern form of immigration, especially the scientific potential and even the specialist. But there are too many problems. There is this tendency and mobility to look for the new best opportunities, as they say, in more developed countries. This now begins and frustrates from the very reality they experience there, either as postgraduate students or as scientists, and even specialized scientific potential. While these opportunities, with another policy, with another system, with another state, with other governments and political choices, could offer them to their homeland, in Greece, to be with their families and to be able to live in dignity and contribute to their research and science. “

“The decisive, the first reason our young people leave is the working conditions. That is, when there are no collective agreements, when there are no decent salaries, when there are no jobs in the specialty, or in the specialization of the young scientist, he is forced to look for other ways. These are precisely because in this system we live in, which is named, it is capitalism, both here, but also in the rest of Europe, in the rest of the world, there is anisometry. Capitalist anisometry is enormous. There are more developed countries, more underdeveloped countries and go saying. So, a young man is looking for the best, what he is told at least or what he thinks is the best, ”he said.

“What we would like to say to youth is that capitalism is also the same in Europe, in Europe, in America, around the world. It is an exploitative system. So the productive model has to do with how this system changes overall. Imagine, if we consider that, for example, the costs given for military, war equipment, for the needs of others, namely NATO or other allies in Greece, for their military engagements, etc., how much money could be saved to save it, It is absorbed here. Or to develop various branches of new technology, but with central design, because so with the capitalist anarchy in economy and production, it does not want to design this model. So, it’s a whole, great debate that I think we need to concern to us, that is, to see the real ‘forest’ and not individual issues, because today there are really radical changes in what is present, with some individual reforms you can’t solve the issue, ”he added.

Asked about the prospects of a new doctor in the public or private sector, he said and explained that “the prospects are a ‘front cliff and rear stream’ for both the private and the public sector” and then stressed: “But the point is not to leave it to this fate, it is a matter of struggle. We also tell the young people who stay here to fight with the workers. Doctors, all the specialties, nurses, to make their forehead, their alliance, to fight to claim immediate breaths of relief, to improve the terms, the conditions of their work, their lives, but also to make radical changes, what we call another model.

It has now been so old, so rotten, so far as to be this system that we have known from both good and upside down. All these parties who have served and served and ruled this country have corrupt with him. The European Union itself is in such a wrong direction for the peoples itself, with the conditions of Maastrich, Lisbon, etc., which incidentally favor human resources mobility, they are one of their main directions. Human resources mobility that at first helped for some slight recovery of capitalism to overcome the critical phenomena it had at that time, but from one point onwards, it turns boomerang for the separate economies of the Member States, but mainly for the workers themselves, who are constantly seeing their lives.

D. Koutsoubas expressed great reservations about the government’s estimates of the tendency to stop Brain Drain, noting: “I was looking at elements from 2008 until the end of 2022 with data, the sign is negative. Has grown, has not diminished. Some may have returned, not mainly from scientific potential, other categories of workers from overall immigration, but the sign is negative again. And this is explained why the situation in the economy has not changed radically, there have been no high -quality sectors of new technologies to absorb this potential. Villages that with this system we live in, which does not exist rationality, there is no central scientific plan that can determine these things, everything is left to the fate of the capitalist market and the profit of the group. “

Answering the question, “Foreign service abroad is generally shown to give the employee added value. If we finally choose to stay in Greece, how can this be offset? ” He stressed that “he is offset by the collective struggle. Staying here and claiming with your other colleagues and overall with Greek society there are changes, so that the scientific potential can be absorbed here and to have decent gain, good working conditions. Why Greece has productive potential, highly qualified scientific potential, the ability to develop branches of new technologies […] This is not because the capitalist profit is an obstacle. Why do the bloody surpluses are prioritized, when the budgetary stability of the government, when a number of such issues that lead these governments to anti -labor, anti -populist policies and laws such as creating the economic basis for our young people to leave.
