The moments I experienced were neither an “unfortunate event” or “athletic passion”. It was violence with purely sexist, personal motives, which none of those present dared to condemn at the moment. No reaction. No apology. No responsibility.
The silence of the Olympic Governors of Olympiakos is equally affecting me with the slogans of their fans. When you see a girl being a vulgar and brutal verbal abuse and you do not react, you do not get up, you do not apologize, then you cease to be just a non -part. You become a complicit.
And the climax? This shame – this shame – also went up on the official page of the Olympic Games. They publicly ratified the vulgarity. They officially reproduced it. They signed it. And this is not just unthinkable. It is dangerous. It is the absolute moral decline.
I am fully aware and absolute sobriety that I will not accept such treatment by anyone. Not even to stay silent. Anyone who thinks they can shout my name with vulgarity, turn me into an object and not be accountable, they are misled.
I am proud of who I am. I am not ashamed of my last name, but I will not be able to be used as an alibi to verbally rape my personality. My name is not a slogan. My body is not a reason for ridiculous men’s reserves “witchcraft”. My presence is not a reason for abuse.
