Disruption prevailed Saturday afternoon (26.07.2025) to aircraft of American Airlines flight from Denver to Miami, to United Stateswhen the aircraft had to be urgently evacuated due to a problem of landing system, shortly before taking off, according to the CBS News.
The Denver Fire Service in the United States said the incident occurred while the aircraft, a Boeing 737 Max 8 on Flight 3023, was still on the runway. According to the company, all 173 passengers and six crew members were safely removed. A person was taken to the hospital with slight injuries.
Intense noise and panic
The Federal Civil Aviation Authority (FAA) confirmed that the crew said “a possible problem with the landing system in take -off” around 14:45 local time. Video posted on Instagram Passenger Mark Tsurkis shows passengers to evacuate the aircraft from security slides, while smoke and flames are coming under the tail of the plane.

The passengers were transported by bus to the terminal. Federal authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
Tsurkis, a resident of Miami and Colorado Springs, told CBS News Miami: “During the acceleration, shortly before the plane was raised, a loud noise was heard. I said, “This is not good.”
As he said, the plane stopped quickly and about a minute later smoke began to appear. The evacuation started immediately. Five people were evaluated on the spot, but they did not have to be treated. Only one passenger was transferred to the hospital.
Issue with the tire, the company says
American Airlines said the aircraft had a “maintenance problem before take -off”, related to one of its tires. The aircraft was withdrawn for inspection, and the Fire Brigade announced the night that the fire that was extinguished was extinguished.
The passengers were finally transported to Miami with another aircraft later the same night. According to the FlightAware platform, over 300 flights were delayed Saturday at Denver Airport, partly due to temporary flight interruption between 14:00 and 15:00. The airport operation returned to normal flow later.
It is recalled that last March, another American Airlines aircraft had been forced to land on Denver due to an engine problem.
