A message to European governments was sent by National Defense Minister Nikos Dendias, with the backdrop of the anniversary of the Fall of Constantinople, seeking alertness and honesty towards the dangers that threaten Europe’s cohesion and security.
Referring to the SAFE Regulation (Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform), which provides for the funding of the European Defense Industry, Mr Dendias said: “I would propose to be named ‘Kerkoporta Regulation’ the Safe Regulation, if it is attempted by some regulations. And he warned: “Any interpretation, on behalf of our partners, that the SAFE Regulation relates to the unconditional possibility of financing the European Defense Industry of the Supervisors and Threats, does not even constitute neutrality.”
The minister highlighted the importance of a common perception of danger, saying: “European defense cannot be the subject of experimentation. In order to exist, it must be based on common principles and a common perception of risk to the European model. “
