Following the signing of the Memorandum, the Minister of National Defense said:
“We signed today with my old friend, the Commander of the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE), Mr. George Pitsilis, the Memorandum of Understanding of the Ministry of Defense with the Independent Public Revenue Office.
The subject of the Memorandum is to provide know -how, education, by the Independent Authority to the Ministry of Defense’s Home Affairs Service.
As we all know, the country for the first time in its history is proceeding in a long -term design equipment programs. To what is called BAE, which tomorrow will be presented at KYSEA.
This It will mean that the Greek taxpayer’s backlog will be invested in systems to ensure the security of the homeland for the next 12+8 years, that is, for the next 20 years.
However, it should – and is – is – an institutional obligation of the Ministry, the Government, to ensure transparency in managing the Greek people’s lag. Therefore, the Ministry’s Home Affairs Service will, by law, acquire control of control of the contracts and the execution of equipment contracts.
However, in order to be able to respond to its new, very expanded role, it needs knowledge, you need know -how. This know -how – and I am grateful for that – will be provided by the Greek State itself, the Independent Public Revenue Authority.
