Democracy Movement: “Mr. Kyranakis resign from the Ministry of Transport”

The Democracy Movement Press Office, in a statement, said that, following a report to the Committee, you and the financial prosecutor for the Blue Skies Gate scandal, information began to be revealed. Specifically, the Minister of Transport, Mr. Kyranakis, confessed in a televised interview that received payments from Blue Skieswhile working as a spokesman for the ND.

Stefanos Kasselakis ‘party stressed that Mr Kyranakis had to know that triangular transactions are illegal and that party funding legislation does not allow individuals’ payments to party workers. He also pointed out that Mr Kyranakis’ case is an example of illegality that explains the reduction of ND’s wage costs.

Finally, the Democracy Movement called on Mr Kyranakis to resign from the Ministry of Transport, describing the fact that the crucial transport sector, which is linked to the Tempe accident, has been entrusted to a politician that is causing public opinion.

The full announcement of the Democracy Movement

Following the filing of the Republic of the Republic’s Movement to the House Committee, and mainly to the financial prosecutor, this morning and in fear of the most inevitable judicial investigation of the Blue Skies Gate scandal, the mouths begin to open.

The Minister of Transport, Mr. Kyranakis, with unprecedented political boldness and unimaginable cynicism, confessed to MEGA that it was of course paid by Blue Skies, while having full -time job duties as a ND spokesman. He even wondered – supposedly surprised – if this is something that is forbidden!

First, Mr. Kyranakis had to know the basics. Triangular transactions are prohibited by law. You can’t work for Mitsotakis and be paid by Varvitsiotis. Even in the feudal ND this practice is outlawed. This government has not yet legitimized it!

Secondly, he would also have to know that party funding legislation does not allow you to work for a party and be paid by an individual. Mr Kyranakis is forbidden!

Of course, the case of today’s Minister of Transport is a typical example of illegality that explains how ND threw the wage cost of its employees from 4.3m in 2015 to 670,000 in 2020. It establishes the major scandal that denounces the Democracy Movement.

Mr Kiranakis should already have been removed from the Ministry of Transport with his current statement. It is inconceivable that the most critical area associated with the crime of Tempi has been entrusted to a politician that causes public opinion so cynically.
