The passage was deadly tornado at Brazilon Friday night, with the following day’s images testifying to the biblical destruction in the area.
THE strong tornado swept through southern Brazil on the evening of Friday 07.11.2025, tearing roofs off buildings and causing the death of at least 5 people, while dozens of others were injured, according to the authorities.
Brazilian authorities reported that several cities in the state of Paraná were affected by the storm. Although five deaths have been confirmed, rescue crews continued to search late into the night, looking for possible other victims.
The state’s weather service said the region was hit by winds of more than 240 kilometers per hour (150 mph). The phenomenon occurred after several days of bad weather in Parana, with heavy rains and hail.
In one of the worst-hit towns, Rio Bonito do Iguaçu, residents posted videos on social media showing damaged roofs, downed light poles and overturned cars, while a drone video showed the town flattened.
Speaking to a local television station, officials involved in the rescue operation estimated that around 80% of the town – which has a population of around 14,000 – has been destroyed.

“We already knew we were going to face a difficult period,” Paraná state governor Ratinho Júnior said in a social media post on Friday. “But we never imagined,” he added, “that we would be hit by a tornado capable of causing such destruction.”
