Dead is the woman who was sought by firefighting forces at noon on Saturday 19 July at Olympusnear the “Prionia” refuge.
The incident occurred around 13:30 noon. The woman was identified by a volunteer doctor of the Greek rescue team without her senses on the trail just above the “Prionia” position.
For the rescue operation, 14 firefighters were mobilized by the Litochoro and Katerini Fire Services, as well as the 2nd EMAK rescue and rescue team.
Despite the efforts of the authorities the woman failed.
