OR government It is proceeding with an initiative aimed at shaping a new relationship between citizens and public administration. Putting the citizen in the role of a direct judge, he activates the first nationwide electronic platform for the evaluation of public services. This move comes in response to the bureaucracy and delays that citizens face in their transactions with the state. Similar attempts to record citizens have been in the past, such as the Evaluation Systems in the KEPs and the possibility of scoring digital services in the gov.grhowever, the new platform is the first constituted and nationwide feedback mechanism directly by users.
How will the evaluation be done
From Wednesday and for a two -week period, five million people over 17 years old, who are registered in the National Communication Register, will receive an email invitation. Through the online platform, to which they will access using the personal codes gov.gr, they will be asked to answer about 40 to 50 questions. The evaluation will apply to various aspects of service, such as speed, effectiveness and staff behavior, rating from 1 to 10. There will also be room for free observations and suggestions, including questions about digitizing additional services. The answers will be collected anonymously and cumulatively, acting as a large -scale “poll” for the quality of state services. The aggregate results are expected to be made public in May.
Services under the ‘microscope’ and subsequent steps
The evaluation platform will cover a wide range of services by various bodies. Indicatively, central services such as AADE, DBA, EFKA and Land Registry, digital applications such as electronic prescription and Gov.gr services (eg responsible statements), as well as services of the Regions and, with particular emphasis, of municipalities (such as cleanliness, electricity, electricity, electricity, electricity). The evaluation process is scheduled to be repeated twice a year, spring and autumn, in order for the bodies to monitor their performance and take improvement.
In addition, the second phase of the program is planned for autumn, where after each natural transaction of citizens with services (such as hospitals or KEPs), a unique QR Code will be provided for the immediate electronic evaluation of this experience. The government’s goal, as the prime minister has stated, is to give the citizen tools to be the final judge and to actively contribute to the continuous improvement of state services. Previous research has shown a positive acceptance of modernized services (KEPs, gov.gr) and negative criticism of those who require physical presence and time -consuming processes, which may predict the trend of the results of the new platform.
