Nikos Christodoulides left serious points for statements made by various agents in Greece, who rejected responsibility in Nicosia for problems with the implementation of the project. He said: “But because I hear various works and great statements that some people do, this government – I said it many times, I repeat it, I will not be tired of saying it and doing it with our actions – it is here to avoid any shadow for the Republic of Cyprus. There is no room for discussion in this matter. So, when they make statements to be a little more careful especially when it comes to the name, reputation, credibility of our country, no one is above the credibility and reputation of this country. “
He acknowledged that investigations by the European Public Prosecutor’s Office “of course bring delays, but above all are the reputation, credibility of our country, of the Republic of Cyprus, that no one has no right to play with this reputation and credibility.”
He said that “there are no differences with the Greek government. There are obligations that ADMIE has undertaken, and in order for the project to be viable, these obligations must be implemented. “
Concerning the work of the electrical interconnection, he reiterated that “Nicosia’s position is clear, the position of the Republic of Cyprus is single. The project is of strategic importance. Its viability depends on the implementation of the commitments made by the implementing body that is ADMIE and we expect the implementation of these commitments.
