Christmas Gift 2024: Payments approaching – Who are the beneficiaries?

Who are the beneficiaries?

All employees employed in the private sector, regardless of the form of their employment relationship, are entitled to the Christmas gift. Specifically:

• Employees with a dependent work relationship, open-ended or fixed-term
• Full-time or part-time employees
• Those working for any employer in the private sector

How is it calculated?

If the employee has been employed from May 1 to December 31 and works with a monthly salary, he is entitled to a full salary, while if he works with a daily salary, he is entitled to 25 days’ wages.

For those who have worked less, the amount is calculated proportionally:

• For every 19 working days within this period, the employee is entitled to 1/25 of his salary or daily wage
• Days of illness, leave or absence due to maternity leave are taken into account
