China: Four dead and 17 missing from destructive landslides – Emergency system activation

Aerial paintings by the broadcasting body showed a village flooded with mud that covered the agricultural fields and cumulated at the foot of a dense wooded mountain.

Guitzhou activated an emergency level II for geological disasters and the Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources sent a team to the area to guide rescue operations.

The Ministry of Emergency Management called on the rescue teams to make every effort to lift the missing.

However, he said that the remote area was “tall and abrupt” and that rescue efforts were proven “difficult”.
