Chevron: Signed the 2nd Ministerial Decision that identifies the accurate coordinates of marine areas south of Crete

The second ministerial decision was signed today (11.4.2025) RIS for the Chevronregarding the definition of expensive coordinates, where the right to research and exploit hydrocarbons in the maritime areas “Southern Crete 1” and “Southern Crete 2”.

At the same time, the RIS decision on Chevron determines the choice of the type of contract as a “lease contract” and is expected to follow the ministerial decision on the announcement of an international competition.

Today’s Ministerial Decision follows the acceptance of the expression of interest in these maritime areas underwent by Chevron Balkans Exploration BV, which was held by – from 4.4.2025 – Ministerial Decision.
