The Deputy Minister emphasized that more than 100 Greek companies are already active in Qatar, mainly in the fields of construction, shipping and logistics, while stressing the importance of Greece’s geostrategic position as a pillar of stability and gateway to the Balkans, the Eastern Mediterranean and the Black Sea.

He also called on the Country side to organize an official business mission in Greece, with the participation of Qatar Investment Authority, with the aim of organizing a high -level bilateral investment forum in Athens, in order to facilitate the direct networking and the conclusion of partnerships with Greek companies.

In addition, the two deputy ministers signed the protocol of the 1st Meeting of the Mixed Inter -Ministerial Committee, which provides cooperation in a number of sectors (trade, exports, investments, agriculture, environment, transport, telecommunications, tourism, etc.).

As part of his visit, Mr. Hadjivasiliou had bilateral meetings with the Minister of Communities Mr. Abdullah Bin Hamad al-Attiya and the Deputy Foreign Minister for International Cooperation Mr. Maryam Bint Ali Bin Nasser Al-Misnad, with whom he discussed in detail the prospects for supporting investment flows and investment cooperation, Especially in high -strategic priority projects.
