“This is not the only success of the government, it is a success of all Greeks. And it strengthens the country’s position in relation to markets, investors, especially in these troubled days we live in because of the crisis of duties, “the Deputy Prime Minister also noted.
Explaining the reasons why the Greek economy presents these improved fiscal performance, Mr. Hatzidakis noted:
“Why did this happen? Because we had growth rates greater than the eurozone. We also had a very good performance in limiting tax evasion. We had additional revenue on insurance contributions – not because we increased insurance contributions, on the contrary, but due to the digital work card.
The combination of these factors (development, tax evasion and digital work card) allowed us to have this financial performance.
So we came and gave a social dividend based on the development and the government’s reform initiatives. And they benefit about 2.5 million Greeks in one way or another by these measures. Therefore, the results of the government’s work appear. And I am glad that my personal effort and my partners for two years at the Treasury has led to these results. “

A simplistic regimen has been adopted where all good people have gathered against us. We are the “stingy”, in this view, that we do not want to share money. But what really happens is that with us steady steps are taking place. We have a neat policy, we combine fiscal prudence with a pro -investment approach and with measures to modernize the economy. So because all this is implemented, this progress translates into growth and growth translates into social measures. “.
