“My father didn’t hurt any of them – today I’m burying him without an apology,” says the daughter of the 52-year-old cattle farmer, who was shot dead by his 23-year-old nephew on Sunday afternoon (26.10.2025) at a party in Kissamos, in Chania.
The local community remains numb after the bloody episode in Elos Kissamos, with several residents fearing a new vendetta would break out in the village. At the same time, mouths remain closed as to what exactly happened at the party and if the victim and the perpetrator had any previous history.
“My dad had never molested him, they had no relationship. He had no differences with them. He had disagreements with others”, the victim’s daughter claims, speaking to newsit.gr.
Also, she cannot realize that her father suddenly lost his life, while he did not cause it.
The partner of the 52-year-old victim’s daughter was the one who had convinced him to go to the party, with his daughter staying back at home.
“My partner was in front of the whole incident. My father didn’t curse him or slap him, he didn’t do anything to him. He went and killed him. He is shocked too. It saddens me that things are heard that are not true about my father”reports newsit.gr.
“My family did not hear a word or an apology from the relatives of the 23-year-old who executed my father. Today we say goodbye to him forever,” the 52-year-old’s daughter tells newsit.gr excitedly.
Her silence was broken and the wife of the 52-year-old victim of the murder in Chania, who fell dead from the bullets of his 23-year-old cousin. As the woman revealed, “feud” shrouded the two families, who had been in contact for over 10 years.
The widow emphasized that there had always been intense hatred between the perpetrator and the victim of the murder, due to personal differences (not financial reasons), and described a wild incident that had happened some years ago in the small village of Chania, where the 23-year-old’s family broke into the house of the 52-year-old’s mother, after first threatening her.
