Chania: 17-year-old dead after a car accident at a gas station – He was in the ICU for sixteen days

The 17-year-old was seriously injured after the severe traffic accident on Iroon Polytechniou street in Kissamos, last month. During his fall, he suffered head injuries and was taken to the Kissamos Health Center for first aid.

He was then transferred to the Chania Hospital, where he remained intubated in the Intensive Care Unit, fighting a hard battle to stay alive.

According to flashnews.gr, shortly after the news of the death of the unfortunate Yannis, the gas station in Kissamos announced that from Wednesday (11/12/2024) it will stop supplying fuel to any small or large engine, if the driver or passenger does not wear a safety helmet.

At the same time, he urged all other gas stations to follow the same policy.

The funeral of 17-year-old John will take place on Wednesday, December 11, at the Holy Church of Agios Georgios in Kastelli tower. The body will be in the temple from 11:00 in the morning.
