Carney noted that recently the US has made it clear that they would not impose duties on Canadian products covered by USMCA, which has been a positive development.
“Canada and the US have now reinstated free trade for most of our goods,” he added, reiterating that, compared to other US trade partners, Canadian exports are imposed on a total of lower duties.
