St. Claudia lived during the times of the wicked emperor Maximian (286 – 305 AD) in Amisos (or Amains or Amsos or Emid) of Pontus, when a great persecution was raised against the people who confessed to Christ.
He was arrested by the amins lord, who was a pagan and when he stood before him, confessed that he was a Christian and checked him with boldness after calling him cruel and unjust and enemy of truth.
The lord was outraged and ordered and placed her in a public place for a spectacle, where they began to hit her sticks. They then cut her breasts with swords and, after hanging her, they made her so much that her intestines appeared. Finally, they threw it into a large firefin.
Her martyrdom took place between 303 – 305 AD.
