Agia Agrippina
St. Agrippina was born and testified in Rome. From an early age she developed a deeply Christian mind and devoted himself to the service of her Lord and Redeemer. For this reason, she provided all her property to relieve the poor and the treatment of patients. For the love of her heavenly nymph, she avoided marriage and preferred to become a nymph of Christ. Those in need, the Church of Rome, Agrippina was running first to offer its valuable services.
But the Saint offered not only material goods but also spiritually, teaching Christian faith and leading the way of truth, crowds of planets.
This spectacular action of the alert could not remain hidden for a long time. In 262 AD, they denounced it to the authorities as a reversal of the traditional worship of idols. The Saint accepted the complaints and, with more courage, confessed her faith in Christ.
Her persecutors did not hesitate to whip her to bend her racing mind. When they realized that they were not going to persuade Agrippina, they were subjected to new horrific torture.
The body of the saint did not withstand the martyrs and in a martyred and glorious manner handed over her holy soul. Three Christian women, Vassa, Paul and Agathoniki received her septic scene and, after a long wandering, ended up in Sicily, where they were buried.
