The Saint Zeus came from the Antioch of Syria, and lived in the years of the Great Theodosius. He was distinguished for his theological multiplicity and for unobtrusive piety and temperance. At the age of 35, so much had spread the reputation of his virtue, that they came to hear his valuable advice everywhere.
After years, Patriarch Atticus (406 – 425 AD) invited him to Constantinople and ordained him a priest. His priestly duties did with great zeal and precision. He was in his parishioners, a model of a sacred and philosopher spiritual father and a family adviser. In Constantinople he also founded a monastery. He once became seriously ill, which reached the brink of death. But it was saved by a miracle. He eventually died peacefully, after keeping his last breath the fire of piety and affection for the souls of his flock.
