To prison a man was driven, who was holding the hidden corpse of his former partner in his home for more than two years.
The 51 -year -old British Jamie Stevens, after finding his 36 -year -old Anuska site dead in his apartment on Apton Street, Torki, in January 2022, covered her body with a blanket and kept it hidden for more than two years.
The disappearance of the woman was officially declared on April 10, 2025, when the investigation began. Her last confirmed appearance was on May 21, 2022.
Stevens, though he was informed of her disappearance, claimed that she had disappeared earlier, although police authorities repeatedly visited to his apartment without results.
Finally, on May 27, 2025, police officers forcefully entered the apartment and found the corpse of the unfortunate woman.
Stevens, in questioning, acknowledged that he found his ex -partner after a night with her and chose to hide her instead of calling for help or proceed with her burial.
In his apology, he regretted, recognizing his mistake. He claimed that he now knows that he should have done differently.
Today, the Assistant Circuit Court has imposed a 22 -month prison sentence for refusal to be buried and falsified.
