In new surgery for the hematoma in the brain, the President of the Brazilian, Lula da Silva.
Luis Inasio Lula da Silva was urgently operated on Wednesday (11.12.2024) for hematoma near the brainthe doctors of the Brazilian president announced.
Lula, 79, remains at the SYRO-Lyvanian Hospital Intensive Care Unit in Sao Paulo and will be submitted on Thursday morning to a “embolism of the middle meninge artery”, as reported by the medical announcement.
Doctors also report that Lula did not have post -operative complications in the first 24 hours, did physiotherapy and received a visit by members of his family.
The hematoma for which Lula was operated on was the result of a fall by the Brazilian president about two months ago in his home.
On the night of December 9th, while talking to Congress leaders in Brasilia, Lula complained of a severe headache and was taken to exams a nearby hospital, his spokesman Paulo Pimnda said.
Magnetic resonance imaging showed intracranial bleeding and Lula was transferred to Sao Paulo to undergo surgery urgently.
