Blackout in Spain: One Dead in Madrid – Fire in Candle Apartment

A woman lost her life during her blackout to Spain After a fire that broke out in her apartment in the Karabansel area, in the southern part of Madrid.

According to the El Pais newspaper, the first estimates of the authorities in Spain indicate that a candle caused the fire at home. It is alleged that the woman may have lit a candle to see – as the electricity was cut in Madrid – and this began the fire at her home resulting in a tragic death.

Samur emergency service confirmed a woman’s death while reporting that 13 people have received medical carewith five of them being transported to the hospital.

Correspondingly, in Madrid, emergency services announced that firefighters were able to unload more than 200 people, Most of which were trapped in an elevator after a power outage.
