No electricity stayed today (16/04/2025) the Puerto RicoUS area in the Caribbean as the operation of all stations on the island were interrupted and there is a long time black out.
Puerto Rico, the easternmost island of the Archipelago of the Great Antilles, is often affected by a vacation of electricity, such as the black out that plunged it into the dark on New Year’s Eve as its infrastructure collapses.
Genera reports in a post on the X platform (formerly Twitter) that it is making efforts to operate backup units, while exploring the causes of the blah.
Luma Energy power provider informed that the damage occurred around 12:40 (local time, 19:40 in Greece) and had not been repaired almost two hours later.
“We will provide updates as soon as more information is available on the causes of the interruption and the estimated time to restore electricity,” said Puerto Rico Jennifer Gonzalez.
