THE robbery at a bank branch in the “heart” of the capital signaled an alarm to the Security that is looking for the armed criminals, with the investigations now being monitored by the Anti-terrorist.
The two robbers were armed with Kalashnikovs and pistols. Determined for everything, they “hit” day – noon in a bank branch in Athens, something that by itself “says” a lot. The robbery took place shortly after 12.00 noon on Tuesday, 14.09.2021, on Mitropoleos Street.

Meanwhile, latest information from newsit.gr states that the focus of the authorities’ interest has been an anti-authoritarian, prison escapee, who had been previously convicted of bank robbery.
Nothing is a given so far, however, according to a report by Mega, the perpetrator who has the backpack in the photo above, is said to be connected to a specific person who escaped from prison in early August.
In fact, the specific person is said to be and the perpetrator of a robbery that took place in mid-August 2021, a few days after his escape, in Metamorfosi.
