Bank of Greece: Primary state budget surplus of 2.14 billion euros in the first two months of 2025

Primary surplus which reached 2.14 billion euros in the Greek economy in the two months of January – February 2025, according to Bank of Greece data (BCT).

According to a report by the BoG, the primary state budget surplus amounted to EUR 2,139 billion from € 2,186 billion in the same period last year. At central administration level, the primary result amounted to EUR 2,915 billion, up EUR 2,262 billion in 2024.

Regarding the cash result of the central administration, it has had a surplus of EUR 836 million, against a surplus of EUR 346 million in the corresponding period of 2024.

During this period, regular budget revenue stood at EUR 11,636 million, from € 10,696 million last year.

The costs of the regular budget on an annual basis were increased, as they were € 10,781 billion, from € 9,552 billion in January-February 2024
