The heavy rains brought by the bad weather since the dawn of Saturday 08.11.2025 have caused significant problems on the roads in the area of Agrini.
In particular, the road that connects Diamanteika with Trianteika has turned into a torrent due to the heavy rainfall, making traffic particularly dangerous.
Problems were also presented in Kalyvia, Rigani and Megali Chora with several roads showing damage, while rural roads turned into rivers of mud, making access to crops and animals particularly difficult.
Due to the large volume of water, the streams overflowed in the area of Neapoli and Megali Chora (Platanorema, Kalamorema), while in Megali Chora and Neapoli the water also reached houses.
The fire department has pumped out water and since early Saturday morning, fire trucks and machinery from the municipality of Agrinio have been operating.
