Axios: US pushing Iran to talks within week – target nuclear deal and ceasefire with Israel

The probability of meeting, within the week, between the envoy of USASteve Whitkov and his Foreign Minister IranAbbas Arakzi, it seems that the White House is discussing.

This at least reveals Axios. The goal of the US is to discuss a diplomatic initiative that includes so much nuclear agreement with Tehran, as well as the truce between Israel and Iran, which are on the 5th day of successive missile attacks.

The meeting has not yet been finalized, Axios mentions, but is part of a lasting effort by Donald Trump to prevent the conflict from continuing and returning to agreements.

“A meeting with the Iranians this week is under consideration,” a US official confirmed. Meeting is considered critical as the question prevails whether the US will participate in new tensions in the Middle East

“They want to talk,” said a senior US official.

Donald Trump has so far refused to participate immediately in Israel’s attacks on Iranbut it has made it clear that Tehran must be prevented from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seems to be pushing Donald Trump to participate in the attacks and bombard Fordu, although the US president insists that he may reach an agreement, especially given his weak negotiating position.
