Two farmers in Thessaly are at the heart of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, following the conclusions of the Authority for Ransing Black Money.
The findings relate to the payment of “suspicious” European subsidies, totaling EUR 1,700,000, by him OPECEPE during the period 2019-2024.
The research has already led to the commitment of the assets of the stakeholders. These include bank accounts, cryptocurrencies, real estate and luxury cars.
According to ERT, one of the evidence that caused suspicions was the fact that one of the two farmers, although residing in Thessaly, applied for a subsidy in Rethymnon, Crete.
