From tomorrow, Monday, August 11, 2025, the new regime for withdrawals from withdrawal from withdrawal from ATM non -banking supplies.
The reset of supplies for cash withdrawals from the ATMs of Greek banks extends to all institutions involved in the DIAS interbank system, while a national ceiling of 1.50 euros is established for third party ATMs.
The regulation aims to immediately relieve costs for citizens. It also provides for removal of charges by third parties when there is direct or indirect shareholding with the bank’s bank, as well as zero charges to municipal communities where only one ATM operates. All balance questions are made free of charge, regardless of a bank or provider.
At the same time, a single charge of 0.50 euros is established to send remittances via web, mobile or internet banking by third party providers, in full harmony with banks’ charges. With explicit legislative provision, no bank can impose a supply on its customers for cash withdrawals.
The financial staff highlights the social sign of the intervention as unjust and excessive charges are abolished and free access to the cash for all, regardless of a residence.
After all, the new framework responds to a constant demand of citizens for fair and transparent charges in daily transactions.
