OR Atletico Madrid came back from… hell to play with Seville and eyeing the top of La Liga.
The persistence and… patience shown by Atlético Madrid at the “Metropolitano” led the “Rojiblancos” to an incredible turnaround and victory over Sevilla 4-3, in the penultimate match of the 16th matchday of La Liga.
Diego Simeone’s team knew about Barcelona’s new “gel” and Real Madrid’s victory that had preceded them and wanted the “three points” at all costs to find themselves at -3 from the leader “Barca” and at -1 from ” queen”, having, in fact, less matches than the Catalans.
They found a respite from experiencing a painful defeat, as in the 57th minute the Andalusians led 3-1, however, they did not give up and with Griezmann’s second goal in the 90’+4 they reached an epic reversal (9th consecutive victory ) which brought them exactly where they wanted before the start of the match.
