With mild rise the values of the shares In today’s (1.9.2025) 1st meeting of September on the Athens Stock Exchange, amid a mild upward reaction of European markets, after last week’s retreat.
The market recovered after four declining meetings, during which the main stock market index recorded a total loss of 4.46%. The shares of Alpha Bank and Ethniki were overwhelmed by the high capitalization.
The General Price Index closed at 2,031.32 points, up 0.48%. Intra -conference recorded a higher price at 2,044.91 points (+1.15%). The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 137.98 million, with 28,109,216 shares. The high capitalization index rose 0.56%, while the mid -capitalization index fell 0.24%.
Of the high capitalization shares, Alpha Bank (+1.95%), National (+1.82%), Viohalco (+1.23%), OPAP (+0.99%) and Eurobank (+0.99%) shares. On the contrary, the biggest decline was the shares of Elvalhalcor (-2.57%), Aegean Airlines (-1.81%), ELPE (-1.75%), Lamda Development (-1.22%) and PPC (-1.12%).
The largest volume of transactions were presented by Eurobank and Intralot with 7.195,283 and 4,665,614 shares, respectively. Eurobank scored the highest value value with € 22.88 million and Piraeus with € 21.41 million.
35 shares went up, 70 downstairs and 17 remained stable.
The shares rose the most: MIG (+20.74%) and Plastics of Crete (+3.97%). The biggest decline was recorded by Mathios Pyrimha (-6.80%) and Medical (-4.42%).
