Intense upward trends recorded the values of shares In today’s (24.3.2025) meeting of the Athens Stock Exchange, with the market to break up and the levels of 1,720 points, closing at a new high 15 -year -old, at the highest levels since the beginning of August 2010.
The General Price Index closed at 1,726.52 points, up 1.73%. It is the highest closure of the August 5, 2010 meeting (1,745.30 points). The value of the transactions amounted to 193.62 million euros, with 43,222,004 shares.
The high capitalization index rose 1.90%, while the middle capitalization index rose 1.86%.
Of the high capitalization shares, Alpha Babnk (+4.43%), Sarantis (+4.68%), Motor Oil (+3.31%), PPC (+3.13%) and PPC (+3.11%) were the largest. On the contrary, only the Optima share (-0.87%) was dropped.
The largest volume of trading was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank with 14,853,945 and 8,358,776 shares, respectively. Alpha Bank scored the highest value of trading with € 34.83 million and Piraeus with € 27.21 million.
81 shares were on the rise, 23 declining and 17 remained stable.
The shares rose the most: Interlife (+6.37%) and Spyrou Rural House (+5.96%). The biggest decline was recorded by Akritas (-3.87%) and Trastor (-3.08%).
