Alpha Bank’s Deal with Unicredit to increase Italian Bank rate to 20% in Alpha Bank, which is a “vote” of confidence in the Greek banking industry, the Greek market, and the Greek economy, has given a new impetus today to shares of Athens Shipowner.
The basic stock market of the Athens Stock Exchange also risen to 1,870 points, recording a new 15 -year -old high.
Alpha Bank’s share (+6.81%, with its capitalization exceeding € 7 billion), was at the center of investment interest in the wake of the increase in 20% of the percentage of Unicredit in the bank, as well as the announcement of Alpha Bank’s strategic cooperation with ELTA.
The General Price Index closed at 1,876.42 points, up 1.42%.
It is the highest closure from the April 21st meeting (1,936.43 points).
The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 448,454 million, of which 81.89 million were packages, with 111,119,203 shares.
The high capitalization index rose 1.83%, while the mid -capitalization index rose 0.32%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of Alpha Bank (+6.81%), Piraeus (+4.40%), Eurobank (+3.70%), Optima (+3.41%), PPC (+2.64%) and Greece (+2.17%) recorded the highest increase.
On the other hand, the biggest decline was the shares of Coca Cola HBC (-1.30%) and Viohalco (-1.20%).
The largest volume of trading was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank with 52.914,688 and 19,103,349 shares, respectively.
Alpha Bank with 154,195 million euros and Piraeus with € 59,008 million was the highest value of transactions.
61 shares moved up, 43 declining and 21 remained stable.
The shares rose the most: Attic editions (+8.00%) and Minerva (+7.47%).
Mermeren (-6.42%) and Pairis (-3.86%) were the largest decline.
