Strong upward trends prevailed in today (11.8.2025) meeting of the Athens Stock Exchange, with the market to break down the 2,100 units, closing in a new high 15 -year -old.
Aegean, Metlen and ELPE shares overwhelmed the high capitalization, while total market capitalization increased by 2.7 billion euros compared to Friday. The market has completed six upward meetings during which the basic brokerage index records a total of 7.46%.
The General Price Index closed at 2,106.24 points, up 1.74%. It is the highest closure since the meeting of March 29, 2010 (2,137.37 points). Since the beginning of 2025 the basic stock market has made profits of 43.31%.
The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 225.582 million, with 34,986,304 shares. The high capitalization index rose 1.78%, while the mid -capitalization index rose 1.10%.
No share of high capitalization was closed on negative territory, while Aegean Airlines (+8.01%), Metlen (+7.19%), ELPE (+4.14%), Viohalco (+3.37%), Motor Oil (+2.30%) and Alpha Bank (+3.37%), Motor Oil (+2.30%) (+2.11%).
The largest volume of trading was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank with 7,429,530 and 6,967,543 shares respectively. Metlen with € 30.34 million and Alpha Bank with € 26.59 million was the highest transaction value.
83 shares were up, 27 and 21 remained stable. The shares rose the most: Doppler (+9.71%) and Aegean Airlines (+8.01%). The biggest decline was recorded: Three alpha (K) (-6.29%) and Vidavo (-2.13%).
