With the beginning of the week, the prices of shares at the start of today’s meeting Athens Stock Exchange, after two bearish sessions, with the market rebounding above 2,000 points.
Banking shares are at the center of investment interest on the Athens Stock Exchange, while the largest European stock markets are also recording gains, as there are expectations that the shutdown in the US will soon end, in a general way. The pan-European STOXX 600 index rose 1.1% to 571 points shortly after 10:00 Greek time, recovering from Friday’s lows.
In Athens, the General Price Index stands at 2,013.82 points, marking an increase of 1.36%.
The value of the transactions amounts to 26.15 million euros.
The large-cap index is up 1.39%, while the mid-cap index is up 0.62%.
All the high capitalization shares are moving upwards and the biggest increase is recorded by the shares of Eurobank (+2.29%), Cyprus (+2.09%), Optima Bank (+2.07%), Piraeus (+2.05%) and PPC (+2.04%).
75 stocks move up, 11 down and 10 remain stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: CPI (+4.90%) and Proodefti (+4.44%), while the biggest decline was recorded by the shares: Kecrops (-2.48%) and Chaidemenos (-2.05%).
