The prices of the shares In today’s (23.6.2025) meeting of the Athens Stock Exchange, despite initial controlled pressures, against the negative estimates created by yesterday’s developments in the Middle East.

Markets are focusing on the course of oil prices, the rally of which is “extinguishing”, though there is concern about closing the straits of the Ormuz, as such an action could launch the price of oil even close to $ 120 per barrel, according to them.
The shares of Alpha Bank, PPA and Piraeus were overwhelmed by the high capitalization. The General Price Index closed at 1,818.82 points, up 0.93%. Intra-conference recorded lower price at 1,784.28 points (-0.99%). The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 146.73 million, with 28,260,300 shares.
The high capitalization index rose 1.08%, while the middle capitalization index rose marginally 0.08%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of Alpha Bank (+4.62%), PPA (+3.26%), Piraeus (+2.75%), Titan (+2.51%), Eurobank (+1.94%), ELVALHALCOR (+1.73%) and ELPA (+1.73%) and ELPA (+1.94%). (+1.53%). On the contrary, the shares of AIA (-1.77%), Coca Cola HBC (-1.18%), OTE (-0.93%) and Lamda Development (-0.82%) fell the biggest decline.
The largest volume of trading was presented by Alpha Bank and Piraeus with 12,208,528 and 4,318,067 shares, respectively. Alpha Bank with 33.68 million euros and Nationals with EUR 25.05 million.
57 shares were on the rise, 40 declining and 22 remained stable. Flexopack (+5.84%) and Alpha Bank (+4.62%) rose the most. The biggest decline was recorded by Doppler (-5.79%) and HELEX (-3.44%).
